Options risk disclosure

The Covered Call Scanner is an educational tool. It is not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice, and nothing it shows is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or option contract. Hans is not your financial advisor, and using this tool does not create any advisory relationship.

Options trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose money — including, in some strategies, more than your initial investment. Before trading options, make sure you understand how the strategy works, what can go wrong, and whether it fits your own financial situation and risk tolerance. Consider talking to a licensed financial professional first.

A covered call caps your upside above the strike price in exchange for premium income; if the stock falls, the premium only partially offsets the loss on the shares. A cash-secured put obligates you to buy shares at the strike price if assigned, even if the market price has fallen well below it; your downside is limited only by the stock going to zero.

All market data shown here — prices, quotes, greeks, and earnings dates — comes from free, delayed third-party sources and is provided “as is,” with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Quotes are delayed and may not reflect the current market. Always confirm a live quote and your own account’s specific numbers with your broker before placing any trade. If a data source is unavailable or a figure (like an earnings date) can’t be confirmed, this tool says so rather than guessing — but that doesn’t make the remaining figures a guarantee either.

Past price action shown on any chart is historical and is not indicative of future results.
